چکیده

Gathering relevant and credible information from massive, available data spaces is critical for intelligence analysis. We describe our ongoing effort in constructing a framework of services to support the analysts, which include personalized information retrieval and summarization with deception detection. By incorporating a user model that captures the analyst’s intent, the system can retrieve information that is relevant to the analyst’s information needs, and present the information properly as a summary according to the analyst’s personal interests. By monitoring for a inconsistencies in the retrieved information, the system detects potential misinformation and/or disinformation. Our goal is to help the analysts effectively retrieve information based on their needs, and filter out or identify information that might be deceptive or misleading.
